Audinate Launches Free Dante Preset Creator for Offline Network Configuration

Audinate has launched Dante Preset Creator, a free online tool designed to help users configure Dante network presets before hardware is available. According to ProSoundWeb, the tool is intended as a companion to Dante Controller and gives users a way to prepare network settings prior to the physical setup of Dante-enabled devices.

The key function of Dante Preset Creator is offline preparation. Users can create presets without direct access to the target hardware, which can be useful when planning a system before devices arrive on site or before a network is ready for final configuration. The presets generated in the online tool can later be imported into Dante Controller once the hardware is available.

When the system is ready for configuration, those imported presets can be applied to the Dante network through Dante Controller. ProSoundWeb notes that settings can be applied selectively, which means users do not have to overwrite every existing network setting when applying a preset. This selective application is intended to help preserve configuration changes that may already exist in the system.
