Yamaha RM-CG Gets Major AI Update for Real-Time Architectural De-Reverberation

Yamaha Unified Communications has introduced a groundbreaking AI feature for its RM-CG ceiling array microphone: Real-Time Architectural De-Reverberation. Utilizing edge AI processing, the microphone analyzes the acoustic properties of a room on the fly and dynamically applies counter-filters to eliminate harsh reflections and echo. This allows integrators to deploy the RM-CG in highly reflective spaces, such as glass-walled boardrooms and concrete-heavy open offices, without the need for expensive and unsightly acoustic treatments. The AI model continually adapts to changes in the room, such as doors opening or blinds being drawn.
